JLINC provides a
global solution for all
personal data laws

In the EU, the GDPR now requires all entities that interact with EU citizens to provide them with control over their personal data. Companies that fail to comply face fines up to 4% of global revenue.

In California, CCPA is set to take effect in January 2020, New York and other states are following, and there are various other regulations in place in many other countries, and more coming every day.

JLINC provides a single comprehensive global solution for all of them – a totally new paradigm for mutual data management that builds trust and reduces cost.

EU citizens now have a new set of rights under the GDPR:

  • Right to withdraw consent
  • Right of Information
  • Right of Access
  • Right to rectification
  • Right of erasure (“Right to be forgotten”)
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object
  • Automated individual decision-making (including profiling)

People in the EU were deluged with requests for consent to continue business as usual marketing communications from each of the companies that they have ever had any dealings with. Faced with that annoyance, the easy solution, especially where the vendor is not really all that important to the individual, was for the customer to simply say, No.

JLINC approaches the problem from an entirely new direction. JLINC provides instantaneous real-time control over personal sharing permissions. This goes far beyond consent and provides the basis for an ongoing engaged relationship with the customer.

While a company is not allowed to “pre-check” any consent, and must therefore ask the individual to engage in elaborate consent extraction journeys. An individual using JLINC can set their own standard permission preferences on their side using the JLINC interface.

Each vendor sets their own template for the types of data and marketing activity the are offering and the permissions they request to provide that info.

The users settings are used to filter the company’s request and the intersection of the two is passed directly to the company. This allows the user to accept a data sharing relationship with a new company on JLINC with a single gesture.

Then when that person changes any of their data, the new information is pushed directly to the companies who have a relationship with them on JLINC.

With JLINC people set their own permission preferences and share their data with very little friction, rather than constantly being pestered to provide different marketing consents by each company under their terms.
Next, when the customer begins to express interest in products and services on JLINC, they will see offerings from companies that provide solutions.

Once this new level of personal data control is available in the EU, global companies that adopt JLINC will be positioned to simply offer it in the US and other markets. Those that do will demonstrate their respect for you by offering European Standard Privacy.

Truly dynamic interaction builds trusted relationships. JLINC offers the ONLY real solution for the most challenging GDPR requirements for personal data control.
